SUBMISSIONS

The First Word Journal publishes debut work by new writers from Tasmania, Australia and beyond. To be eligible for publication, this needs to be your first byline (personal blogs don’t count). Submissions should be between 500 and 1500 words, of any genre except poetry. We pay $100 per accepted piece. If you’d like feedback on your work in the event that it isn’t accepted for publication, please let us know in the submission portal below. Thank you for sharing your work with us!
